Quarterback recruiting is a significant focus at most schools but particularly at LSU for the class of 2017. On Saturday, the Tigers got a verbal commitment from three-star quarterback Myles Brennan of St. Stanislaus in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Brennan is considered the top quarterback prospect in Mississippi for this recruiting year. Last season he passed for 5,248 yards and 53 touchdowns with eight interceptions in 15 games.

He committed to LSU over interest from Oklahoma State and offers from many schools including California, Kentucky, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Southern Miss and many others.

LSU is expected to sign two quarterbacks in the 2017 recruiting year with Lowell Narcisse of St. James being a top priority for the Tiger coaching staff. With Brennan's commitment, LSU now has six verbal commitments.
