Rashard Lawrence picks LSU

The LSU football program continued it's torrid pace in recruiting Friday morning as Rivals250 defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence of Monroe (La.) Neville chose the Tigers over Ohio State.

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound tackle gives LSU one of the nation's top defensive line groups for the 2016 recruiting year. He is also LSU's 22nd commitment.

"I think it just came down to just trusting Dave Aranda the defensive coordinator and him showing me film of what they can do when they get the defensive linemen," Lawrence said. "So I said, I am going to go there and follow my first heart."
